If you want to add something special to a room then play with the molding and wainscotting. The tile was chosen first which decided everything. My client wanted the feel of a cozy cottage. This bathroom is welcoming and long on character.

Love the color of the vanity top. What color and where is it from? »
rnjanke It looks like hand painted cement tile...there are quite a few websites that will pop up if you google it. Very durable...seems to run about $6/tile.
Courtney Blanton Interiors You could put one in the center that tilts out, but it will take up a lot of space. Is there room for one in a linen closet?
Courtney Blanton Interiors This job was completed over a year ago. If it is not available at Circa any longer, then you can look up Visual Comfort Lighting: Visual Comfort Studio Sandy Chapman Boston Functional Library Light and you will find it. Thanks.
Courtney Blanton Interiors I think that's correct. I paint my cabinets and trims (beadboard, baseboard, crown molding, doors, windows, etc.) the same color. Happy designing!
Can you give anymore information on the bueatiful tile? I have been searching for this or similar tile. - Can you give anymore information on the bueatiful tile? I have been searching for this or a similar tile since i saw this post. »
Courtney Blanton Interiors It is 6'-4". It is custom. You just want to make sure you have enough clearance for what ever is going on either side of it. For the toilet I gave 36" between the wall and vanity.
Courtney Blanton Interiors It is from a local tile store. I'm not sure of the name of the maker. It is from a series of Greek tile patterns. Country Floors carries a lot of these patterns. Happy designing!
Courtney Blanton Interiors I typically use Swiss Coffee for cabinetry color as well as passage doors and all trim. I almost always buy my hardware from Restoration Hardware. Happy designing!
Lumens While not an exact match, the Garden City Double-Arm Wall Sconce by Hudson Valley offers the same restoration style and a bit more extension. - Susan

Jenny Graber I had no idea about the poster board trick?! I am in the process of picking out a paint color for our Master Bath. I'm surprised the paint color in this picture has a gray name when it looks so blue in the photo.
It is Parma Gray 27 by Farrow & Ball. The most important thing to remember about paint is that it looks different from room to room because of light and what it is reflecting. It is always best to get a large poster board and paint it the color you are thinking about. You can move the poster board around the room to see what it looks like in different lighting. Also, if you paint samples on the wall you are liable to paint it gloppier than a painter would. When you try and paint on top of a sample it is raised and weird-looking on that one spot.
Does the Lugarno extension mirror lean to one side? - Hello, I also have the extension mirror but it seems to lean to one side closed or open. I am assuming its because of the weight of the mirror at the end. Have you had this problem? Thank you for your help. »
6. Install wainscoting. You probably already know how rough children can be on walls, especially in tight places. Installing wainscoting not only will help protect your sheetrock from dents and scratches, but it will add character to the space.
