Cynthia Taylor-Luce Yes I love large-scale moulding. See if you can find a plaster expert in your locale because nothing looks better than real plaster mouldings. The joints are invisible, when properly installed, and the plaster becomes one with your walls and ceiling. There's virtually an unlimited choice of profiles too. And paint them in flat paint--no shiny mouldings!!

mmlittle Dover White from Sherwin Williams looks beautiful with Revere Pewter. I have RP in my master bath and master bedroom. About to coat the whole interior, other than the kids' rooms. Pic shows DW on the trim and white stripes. Creamy, but not cream.

AM Dolce Vita It would also depend on your hallway furniture and floor color. Muslin does have a yellow undertone. How about something along the taupe color family, such as BM's Edgecomb Gray (HC-173)?

AM Dolce Vita Hi, I bought it from a boutique furniture/decor store called Domus and it closed down. I did just find it on the web here (http://www.storageshowcase.com/IVG2/Y/ProductID-133027-.htm), the Romana silver/gold leaf bombe chest. It appears more champagne in real thing which I love.

Our ceiling is 9'. You might be right...7" for 8' might be a big tall. I would go for a 5.5-6" crown moulding for 8' ceiling instead.
