Loud noise from an upstairs laundry? - I'm considering doing an upstairs laundry for a renovation. Are most of today's washer/dryer combinations quiet enough to run at night when kids are sleeping? »
Visbeen Associates, Inc. Yes, many new washers and dryers are very quiet these days. Whichever dealer you end up purchasing from can make a recommendation on brand/model if quiet is an important feature you are looking for.
Love the back drop behind the cabinet and the washer/dryer! - What material are the back drops behind the washer/dryer - cabinet made of? Where do buy this material? Thanks! »
Visbeen Associates, Inc. V-groove paneling, most likely MDF. You can buy the materials from a lumberyards or even some big box stores carry it, but not as many options as you would have through the lumberyard.
how do you access the back of washer/dryer in the event of needed repair? - I have a washer/dryer like these but can't figure out how to make the back of them accessable in the event of a breakdown. »
Visbeen Associates, Inc. Typically, they install the washer/dryer with enough clearance from the counter, sides and enough slack in the hookups that you should to be able to pull them out to access the back for any service issues.
LIKES: Storage for each family member's laundry basket. Lots of counter space. Sink. Tall cabinets and drawers.
DISLIKES: Covered side by side washer/dryer (only allows front loaders).
