marialoconte Bil, Thank you so much for your reply! they remind me of teak and holly which of course is used on boats. The kitchen I need to replace is on Cape Cod, it's a contemporary and we are boaters so it's a great option.

Bill Fry Construction - Wm. H. Fry Const. Co. Yes, the Snaidero website calls these cabinets teak. I can see how they could be interpreted as a nautical theme. Suggest you also look into local options with local cabinetmakers as well; this supports the local economy and more $ goes into your cabinet and less into transportation from Italy. :) Rhoda
