Level One: The elevator column, at left, is clad with the same stone veneer - mountain ash - as the home's exterior. Interior doors are American white birch. We designed feature doors, like the elevator door and wine cave doors, with stainless steel inserts, echoing the entry door and the steel railings and stringers of the staircase.
rrvenezia ok. Thanks for the prompt response! I guess i'm still in the basic stage of trying to select the most reliable residential elevator I can that I haven't had time to consider column and door designs yet. That will be the fun part!!
New Mood Design LLC The wall's stone veneer is "Mountain Ash" from Telluride Stone Company, Denver. The floor is done in a random flagstone pattern using "Idaho Silver Quartzite."
The elevator shaft is shrouded in Mountain Ash stone from the first floor up to the third. On the first level, the entry foyer and wine cave floors are an Idaho silver quartzite flagstone, which is also used as an 18-inch border around the hardwood floors on the third level.

The hard linee, over focus on stainless steel, and the bare walls makes it feel like more of an office/dentist entry than a home. I like the elevator shaft door.
