Christopher A Rose AIA, ASID This is the only professional shot I have. It is a "U" kitchen with the window wall at the bottom of the "U". So a line of cabinets are on the right with the refrigerator on the right as you face it. So the frig would be at the near right on this photo. We have a walk-in pantry adjacent and this accomodates an 8 bedroom home.

I am looking for durability. Since I do decorative painting as a business I get the whole low VOC's etc. But standing up to use is a VERY important factor for me. Thanks for your feedback! The kitchen is gorgeous!

Here are two examples of clerestory windows with cabinets under them. The ceilings look a little higher than 9', but I'm thinking that maybe we'll make the counter on that wall at desk height.
