Miller modern-living-room

A modernist house in the Berkeley hills is expanded and completely renovated for two art historians. All of the new work is seamlessly integrated with the original character of the house to maximize views, natural light, and……book storage.

The living room’s burnished teak floors and ribbon sapele wall paneling highlight
the warmth and richness of the home’s detailing.

Back to midcentury. The continuous tone from floor to walls is a great way to go for those who don't like tons of contrast. For those who do, by simply re-staining the floor ebony, this space could be brought to great new heights.
