Mahoney Architects & Interiors This table was custom made in Singapore with the lazy susan built in. It is a lovely table but I have no idea where you might purchase a table like this.
How much room is needed for a 60" round table with 6 dining chairs? - I need to know how much more room I would need for chairs to be pulled out. Also, what size rug would I need? Thanks! »
I would like to know the designer of this table - it looks like something I have seen at Tui Lifestyle but wasn't convinced that it would fit 6 chairs around it. is this the same table? »
I am planning on buying a 60" round dining table and wanted to know whether I will be able to fit 8 armless chairs around it? This was one of the few round table images I found that actually had 8 chairs around it, most others had either 4 or 6. Thanks! »
dawnrr we have a 60" round with 6 small scale parsons chairs and there would not be enough room for 2 more chairs if you expect to be able to pull all the chairs in close enough to the table to eat a meal comfortably. i suspect the table in this photo to be larger than 60" in diameter as our chairs are very similar to those in the photo. i hope you will be able fit a larger table, or settle for 6 chairs, because after having large rectangular tables all my life, i have now found that having a round dining table, with a sideboard, to be much more functional and friendlier for entertaining.
laginagirl I would suggest purchasing your 60" round with a leaf or leaves. That's what I've done ....the leaf and extra 2 chairs stay in storage until we have a dinner party requiring them.
I LOVE my round/oval and will never go back to rectangle. I ditto dawnrr's comments.
May I please use this photo in a blog post? - I'd give you photo credit and include a link back to this page (or any other page you'd prefer I link to instead) »
Lazy susan feature. If you choose a round table 60-72" in diameter, add the convenience of a center lazy susan. Although the round table can be a space saver, the larger it gets the harder it becomes to reach the mashed potatoes.
“a 60" round dining table you need a room of at least 100" diameter and you would need an 8 feet (or bigger) round rug or 8' x 10' rectangular rug. On the attached image I have an 54" round table with 8 feet round rug.”
