Consider a kitchen banquette. You may not think your kitchen has enough room to be an eat-in kitchen, but you might just have the space to build a bench under a window and pull up a long, narrow table. Yes!!

Here's another option. No back. This would likely be easier and less expensive to make. The only concern would be the window ledges sticking into our backs. So, question: could you cut off the parts of the window ledge that stick out and make it look nice, or no? I think if you can, then we could go to route.
