For me, it would not be; this bathroom is otherwise so finished. I'd be inclined to mount a pair of something like these right to your sash/sill if that would land them at eye level.

Yes, it would block a smattering of light, but I think you'd be surprised how little. And daylight is the best for putting on your face, so to speak. Super chic finishes here -- nice job. I especially appreciate the stones in the sink.

I have chosen (3) different tiles for the backsplash and floor.
(1) Blue-Grey is porcelain by Statements
(2) Green-Grey is porcelain by Pentel
3) the Glass Tiles are by Untied Tile ...and I utilize a natural thinset with a Raven colored grout.
4.) Counter top is Honed Absolute Black Granite with a 6cm broken edge.

On the Shower Curtain....Most people go with the glass shower enclosures, however, it tends to make the bath, cold and less intimate. Shower curtains typically come one length. So I used a surgical ceiling mounted curtain track that you might find in a clinical setting. Then created a series of "Chains" to create the correct hanging lenght and then repeated the process. It can also be done with fabric or any sort of durable hanging motif to match your overall design concept.
