Can you tell me the color and name of the basketweave floor tile and counter top? - I am doing a similar master bath and am choosing a basketweave floor tile and marble counter similar to those here in the Master Suite Addition on Chicago's North Shore. Would love to know the name of color of the tiles and counter used. Thanks! Beautiful bathroom and love the niche in the side of the vanity area. Great idea! »
bathdilemna Thank you so much for responding! I am having a tough time selecting a countertop that has the look I am going for. Most granites I have seen are too busy - I love the look of marble but have heard maintenance can be high. Is this true? I saw a beautiful quartzite, Taj Mahal, which I was told is even more durable than granite but the price was triple that of granite!
Normandy Remodeling Marble is a beatiful option but it is more porus than Granite which means that it will need more attention and consideration than some other options. If you're looking for some lower maintenance options, you may want to look at Silestone or Cambria. These man made options are virtually maintenance free, made up of natural stone that is held together by resins, and can offer a similar look to natural stone without the hassles. Good luck on your project!
