Modern Dog Trot by Braxton Werner & Paul Field

This is a modern interpretation of the classical dog trot style home. The skinny plan and straightforward design are efficient and allow for quick and easy construction. The design is extremely open and inviting, windows and doors are aligned to allow for cross ventilation, and the HVAC can be zoned to shut off areas of the home when not in use. The house can be built with any number of green and sustainable options incorporated. With a southern orientation, the passive solar design of the house is extremely efficient as well. The base form and material palette are traditional, but the regiment and execution of the details suggest an element of modern architecture.
