Mahoney Architects & Interiors All countertops are 24 inches in depth to allow for appliances. We prefer to allow at least 36 inches between the counter and an island. That aisle can be more narrow but is not recommended. This island is narrow at only 24 inches in width but it works well!

Mahoney Architects & Interiors We typically overhang a counter 12 inches to allow plenty of room for knees!

Becky Harris Hi, these are Shinto stools. Pottery barn has them here:
