This new house was under construction when Siemasko + Verbridge was commissioned to design the interior spaces for this vacation home. Having worked with this client previously, SV had a good understanding of the client's preferences and needs. The interiors were developed to enjoy the marsh views, and to provide plenty of relaxing spaces for the owner and guests.

Potfiller - What brand is the potfiller?
Thanks! »
Lucia Lighting & Design, Inc We have a very similar light fixture here at Lucia Lighting ~ please call us for more information. We're happy to help you! 781 595 0026
Siemasko + Verbridge Thanks for your question! This is definitely the hardest of the limestones; however it is a living finish and will scratch over time. It would require to be sealed several times within a year and that still doesn't insure that it won’t stain or scratch. I wouldn't recommend using steel wool or oil on this surface.
Where can weI get the steel shelf above the range? - We just purchased a 36" Viking Range oven and would like to mount a shelf above the range, between the upper cabinets....where can we purchase a 42 1/2' wide shelf in the stainless steel to be anchored by the upper cabinets as in this picture....so our granite back splash is seen? »
Charmean Neithart Interiors, LLC. This is actually not my design, but I have looked at these before through my appliance store. I do not know the brand of the one in the picture. Hopefully the designer will answer your specific question. They also have steel backslashes with built in shelf that are great looking. Hope that helps. Charmean
Siemasko + Verbridge Great question! This stainless steel shelf was custom built. We had the millworkers construct it to fit perfectly between the range and stove. It's mounted with dowels.
You can find a shelf similar to this at many other places. Sears, Ikea, any kitchen or restaurant supply company usually carries them in unform sizes.
Try the link for sears to get you started..
Siemasko + Verbridge Pietra Del Cardosa needs to be sealed carefully and re-sealed regularly (depending on how much abuse they take on a daily basis) to reduce the chances of any type of staining. Any spills from food should be cleaned right away, and a regular cleaning of counters tops should keep the material in tip top shape.
ajnz833 I think you would do better with soapstone (unoiled) to get this colour without any of the fussy maintenance and chance of staining particular to a porous stone such as this one.
