I love the walls in the room that seems to be the living room, how do I paint this? - I like the walls in the livingroom., how do you get this type of walls? »
I purchased my home about three years ago and it came with a large patterned tile floor, rock fireplace, and dark paneled walls in the living room. The style of the house outside is Mediterranean and I'd like to keep that style inside, but it is currently far too busy and dark for me. I want to have a stucco fireplace, new (less busy) tile floor, and to paint the paneling a light color to neturalize the room and brighten the downstairs. Problem: can't find any ideas on this type of enterior. Builders/Designers don't seem to use dark paneling anymore. Help? »
RAFAEL DAVILA COBALT BLUE, RED TERRACOTTA, LIGHT GREEN, LIME IS WHITE FOR MIXING THE COLORS, when you mix the colors the colors get diluted in the dry mixi, use old sponges also for smal textures. the base was a latex base paint regular linen white, first on the wall, I had some yellow also but always mix with lime never pure, try frist outside and wear a mask and cover your eyes and hair, after work is finish vacum very good, and hose down the lime and color from your clothes, do not allow anyone in the room to settle the color for a day....look at your work identify the area you want to fix , repeat and finish third day look again and if you happy with your work vacum the room and apply flat poliuretane with a roller small and big slowly....get some turpentine and ragas to clean use gloves...
Venetian plaster is a classic paint finish in Italy and other Mediterranean countries. The original technique involves applying several layers of plaster, along with natural pigments. Fortunately, today we can purchase acrylic "plaster" for easier application, or we could hire a terrific faux artist! Colors such as terra cotta and azure are commonly seen in this wall treatment.
