The Sky is the Limit Design i think this one was a fisher and paykal. but i am not sure. there are a number of models on the market, and you might want to look for yourself. some of those dishwasher drawers are too small to fit a certain size plater into them.
on this project we actually used 2 individual dishwasher drawers on either side of the sink, so that the homeowner didn't have to bend down too far. you can also get double dish drawer models, where one is larger and one is smaller.
in general the experience is that for a 1 or 2 person household you alternate the drawers on a daily basis - using the dishes from the clean drawer while filling up the other one.
in a household with children you could add one of the drawers to a regular dishwasher instead of opting for 2 harge scale dishwashers.
they are very suitable for stenware, not so much for large pots.
bubblyjock Fisher & Paykel do a drawer'd dishwasher that's 18" deep, plenty deep enough for most dishes, and they offer a variety of other drawer options as well. iirc, all dishwashers with drawers are manufactured by F&P, whatever name is stuck on the front:
The natural wood floor (ours would be wide slats, multi colored), dark island to create contrast and break up the room, white/off white cabinets, stainless steel appliances.
A set of dishwasher drawers on either side of the sink makes not only for a graphically appealing symmetry, but also is a practical way to go about dirty dishes in a 2 person household. One drawer always has fresh dishes ready, while the second one can be loaded up with a day's worth of dirty stuff. A full dishwasher is often not economically used in an emptynesters home.
Also, the fact that the 2 drawers are at their maximum height is very nice on a tall person's back!
