Bluetime Collaborative The metal was a 9 inch "C" channel from the local metal supply. They actually called it a stair stringer shape. the rest of the steel was 1 1/2" angle - all raw and unfinished. Plans and details and a sketchup model are for sale for a standard straight run stair of this sort on my website.
