Modern meets beach. A 1920's bungalow home in the heart of downtown Carmel, California undergoes a small renovation that leads to a complete home makeover. New driftwood oak floors, board and batten walls, Ann Sacks tile, modern finishes, and an overall neutral palette creates a true bungalow style home. Photography by Wonderkamera.

Can the designer or homeowner tell me the actual color... - Hi, I'm hoping that the designer or homeowner can tell me what the actual color is called and the brand name. No guesses or annoying: "It looks similar to..." . The real name please. Thank you! »
mlcasey1 I've been looking at Sherwin Williams colors and the island looks like it might be Universal Khaki, SW 6150, can someone confirm that or correct me if I'm wrong? Thanks very much!
The house originally had carpet, vinyl windows and an outdated kitchen complete with butterfly tiles on the backsplash. Initially, the plan was to just update the space. But after the clients discussed possibly retiring here, the scope of work changed.A structural wall was removed in the kitchen to add space and a larger entryway. The ceilings were also raised for a open feel, and new windows make the ocean view a focal point.
Island color with white cabinets. Sherwin-Williams Universal Khaki SW6150 looks similar to this.
