Can we put tile over cement floor in Northeast climate - We live in upstate NY and have a screened-in porch off our home (built in 1925). I just am not loving the cement floor and would like to use tile/slate. He says no, that it will crack etc because of the cold winters. What are our options? »
Rebecca Zuurhoud Yes you can install slate or tile- needs to be porcelain not ceramic. You must install with the proper type thin set to take freezing temp. such as Mapei Kerabond & Keralstic.
Color of doors, floors, utilization of existing brick. Can we do a parallel set of French doors into the man cave? Get rid of windows by television, giving more wall space for art, etc.
