Back-splash. I want put subway tiles on the wall over my back-splash. A sin? »
catherineslater Sarah, I am waiting too and will let you know. My builder said "no", but I think it would be beautiful above the laminate splash, protect the walls better from splatters, make the kitchen look more like a kitchen. I see it at the very least looking as normal as the tall splashes with the flat counter. Resistance makes no sense. Almost ready to proceed without an "OK".
Art Palette Hello Catherine, What do you have on counter? Since, I can not see it clearly it may by either Calacatta or White Carrera or such. By the look of it, subway tile in matching white or a blend of white and light gray (spread sporadically) will be beautiful.

Mindi Guiliano Can you please advise the dimensions of the kitchen...just from the front of the fridge to the front of the oven and then from the back of the kitchen to the outside of the island? Thx,
What is the width of the counter with the sink and red barstools? - It looks wider than average. Also, was the base cabinet at left (facing the table) built extra-deep to make up for the extra counter width? Beautiful job! Thanks! »
I am having a hard time with choosing a paint color my kitchen cabinets are an espresso color i am looking for a complimentary color for walls around cabinets but would also like to have an accent wall any suggestions my counter top is a beigy color that just might get replaced »
The designers opted for a C-shaped kitchen layout (a.k.a. U-shape). This arrangement is a great solution for kitchens tight on space, because they keep the work areas separate from main traffic routes. The kitchen also opens up to the dining and living room in the house, so the style had to be compatible with the more traditional look of these rooms. Sticking with a clean and simple design countered the more ornate Victorian detailing, and natural materials enhanced the exposed wood ceiling. Faucet: Grohe Minta; sink: Franke; flooring: white oak; barstools: Ikea; hood: Zephyr
