Mardi Gras Decor

Suspend your belief in good taste and just have fun, starting with the crazy color combination of purple, green and gold. Mardi Gras decor is affordable. Let me show you where to get some great stuff, and laissez les bon temps roulez (let the good time roll).

Yes it is! It was once a double Shotgun, much like a townhouse, with two families living side by side. It has been converted to one larger house now. xo xo

Becky Harris added this to City View: New Orleans Style Mixes It Up
The biggest misconception about New Orleans, Hart says, is "that it is all antebellum style or the Mardi Gras and jazz and bordello look. Design is very sophisticated in New Orleans, even more so in the continuing rebuilding process after Hurricane Katrina."That said, homes certainly transform dramatically during the weeks before Fat Tuesday.
Becky Harris added this to These Homes Say Happy Mardi Gras!
Mardi Gras is a time for costumes, masks, eating king cakes, listening to great bands, eating po’ boys and Popeyes’ fried chicken, and drinking bourbon slushes while watching fabulous parades. It’s also a great time to expand your collections of bead necklaces, krewe cups and doubloons, as krewe members toss them into the crowds (these items are called throws). While New Orleans is the best-known spot for celebrating, cities all over Louisiana have their own Mardi Gras parades, as do cities in other states, including Alabama, Mississippi, Texas, Florida and Wisconsin.
