nypotter Can you give me a better description of the French caned chair? I assume it is a reproduction but maybe not - can you tell me the style and possibly the year it was made? Gorgeous interior design.
Color of the trim ? - Could you please tell me what color the trim is in this room? The room is wonderful. I especially love the dark doors that frame the view to the outside. Thank you in advance »
Mackle Construction The actual room color is Glass Slipper by Benjamin Moore, the wood paneling & moldings are painted in Dove White by Benjamin Moore, & the wood doors are stained.
amarie1919 I am a designer and have a very similar boat from the 1920's. I've been looking to have it restored but who to trust? it's been to no avail other than shipping it overseas to the UK, which I won't do blindly - what tells you this boat isn't vintage???
A very blue gray (Benjamin Moore's Glass Slipper) helps bridge the gap between the traditional elements in this room and the modern windows. The dollops of color relax it and give it warmth.
In this home, the black frames are repeated on a number of windows and doors. For a subtle and sophisticated look, try a wash of gray or crisp white instead.
