With a clear connection between the home and the Pacific Ocean beyond, this modern dwelling provides a west coast retreat for a young family. Forethought was given to future green advancements such as being completely solar ready and having plans in place to install a living green roof. Generous use of fully retractable window walls allow sea breezes to naturally cool living spaces which extend into the outdoors. Indoor air is filtered through an exchange system, providing a healthier air quality. Concrete surfaces on floors and walls add strength and ease of maintenance. Personality is expressed with the punches of colour seen in the Italian made and designed kitchen and furnishings within the home. Thoughtful consideration was given to areas committed to the clients’ hobbies and lifestyle.

Lovely river rocks - I am trying to get this look for my bathroom. What kind of place should I look in to get these shiny black rocks? Also, are these loose or is there an adhesive of some kind to have them in place. I would really appreciate if you let me know. Thanks in advance. »
kbcdevelopments These are Whiskey River polished pebbles in black.
You can get them through our supplier
www.landscapesupply.com
The pebbles lay in a trough made at the time of a construction.
If you don't have the ability to sink a trough down into the floor, you would have to have a raised trough for them to sit in.
2Stone Designer Concrete It looks like it is a cast in place concrete wall. You can get that look by using our custom concrete board form tiles. They come in 6" x 8' lengths and when installed (easy installation) they give the look of a cast in place piece like this wall. Check out www.2stone.ca and our Facebook page 2Stone Designer Concrete, we have posted some pictures of some fireplaces we have done. I love this wall and the detail of the rocks at the bottom! Very peaceful and organic.
kbcdevelopments This wall was poured in place using a technique called board form. It allows the imprint from individual boards to displayed in the finish, giving an organic looking finish.
The disadvantage with the concrete board tiles would be in the seams, as if they are placed poorly, it would be quite noticeable.
Textura del cemento en interiores como chimenea, una pared del recibidor (la de las ventanas y con las piedritas de la foto), una pared del nook, una de las escaleras, y a lo mejor una del baño de visitas.
