can you tell me the maker of the cabinets and the stain color? - Love the cabs! Is it quarter sawn white oak? Can you tell me the manufacturer and the stain/finish? THanks. »
Color palette - It's hard to tell from my computer but it appears that the colors of this kitchen are: soft creamy yellow on the walls, grey/green backsplash. Also, please explain what color tones are in the granite. Correct me if I am wrong. It's just lovely and exactly what I want in my 1915 bungalow renovation. »
Brooke B. Sammons The granite had some wonderful shades of red, gold, green and a beautiful smokey quartz in it. It was the perfect earthy combination for a Craftsman inspired space. We did choose a creamier yellow for the walls to create contrast and keep the space bright and the earthy green backsplash tile looks so good against the granite countertop.
Thanks!
Brooke B. Sammons The stain color is actually a Wood~Mode propietary finish called Pecan and the knobs and pulls were hardware left over from her original kitchen and luckily we had enough left over.
Brooke B. Sammons I'm so happy you like it. I was really happy with how it turned out and the client loves it. We moved a wall between the kitchen and breakfast area to really open up the space and capture the light and view from the large breakfast room window.
Best of luck on your kitchen project. Are you working with a designer or just a builder/contractor?
Brooke B. Sammons This is a Motawi Tileworks backsplash. They are a family owned tile studio that make Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau reproductions. All the tile is hand made and hand glazed, it is beautiful! Because it is such a special tile it really does require a very skilled tile setter.
