Pendants - What is the finish on these pendants? Oil rubbed bronze or antique copper? »
Lumens I checked Landmark's site as well, and it doesn't look like this comes in an antique brass finish? I would agree that it does look a bit darker though, like the oil rubbed bronze. -Sarah
Island bench dimensions - Great sized island! Can you please tell me the length of the island bench and also the size of the cupboards on each side of the stools. »
Brooke B. Sammons I believe that the island is about 84" wide and the cabinets flanking the knee space are 15" leaving about 54" for the stool. Great room for 2 to sit comfortable.
Brooke B. Sammons Thank you, I loved working on this project and was very happy with how it all turned out.
Because this is a Craftsman Inspired kitchen we used Quarter Sawn Oak for all the mill work in the kitchen. With out going back through all of my notes and just relying on my memory, I'd say the kitchen is 9' and it goes up to 10' in the breakfast nook.
Are you building or remodeling?
Brooke B. Sammons These cabinets are custom Brookhaven Frameless Cabinetry in our Sausalito Door Style, Quarter Sawn Oak in our Acorn Finish. The finishes are developed by Wood~Mode and Brookhaven and they have over 160 options and can do custom matches and finishes to spec as well.
As far as the second part of your question, I'm not totally sure what you are asking? The door is a recessed panel, 5 piece, style and rail construction.
Brooke B. Sammons This is a Motawi Tileworks backsplash. They are a family owned tile studio that make Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau reproductions. All the tile is hand made and hand glazed, it is beautiful! Because it is such a special tile it really does require a very skilled tile setter!
We used a Natural Grey Sanded Grout.
Brooke B. Sammons Hmmmm, hard to say. This one was a weird mystery, Haha.
We actually ended up matching to what the home owner had in other rooms of the house. She wanted that consistency throughout the house. She has an old can that said Sherwin Williams #1122; but I was never able to find that number so we ended up just color matching.
Some neutral Sherwin Williams colors very close to this would be:
Classical White, Roycroft Vellum, Antique White and Dover White
I also really like Softer Tan and Woolskein.
Happy Painting!
Brooke B. Sammons Thank you, I ordered them through one of my many lighting sources. They are Landmark, if you need help getting some I can certainly get you a price and order them for you.
1. Rich woods. More than any other material, wood defines Craftsman style, thanks to its emphasis on natural beauty. Leave kitchen cabinets unpainted and coat them in a deep stain instead of paint for a warm, lustrous look. Oak is practically synonymous with Craftsman design; if you choose other woods, stick with indigenous species such as maple or pine.
Craftsman kitchens. Craftsman style arose in the early 20th century as a reaction to the mass-produced fussiness of the Victorian era. Its rich woods, built-ins, handcrafted tiles and well-made simplicity continue to charm us. Guide: 8 Elements of a Craftsman Kitchen
LOVE this kitchen. Love how open it is, love the color of the cabinets, LOVE the middle island with the space for the chairs to go underneath. Love that it has a sink in the island...could a grill go there as well? Love the floors and the flow of appliances.
