Dyna Contracting 32" is the recommended height off the cooktop. This hood is a GE Profile JV666HSS.

Dyna Contracting We typically do 14" at a minimum but it depends on the space that is available. Here we were restricted by the window trim, so this overhang is 12".

Take out the bulkheads in my kitchen and add the smaller uppers, make my window over the sink larger and add a larger upper with shelves between the window and french doors with a peninsula. LOVE IT!
