Breakfast nook, 44" deep, 70" wide. Table is 29.5" wide. Snug but just fine. Big serving dishes stay on the island.

This would fit perfectly in my house! Can I get all of the dimensions? Did you build it yourself? - I need the dimensions for the table, storage and benches, please?? »
joannamattson If I had a design-plan for the nook I would have posted it, but it was put together on the fly by our cabinet maker (Seattle Custom Cabinets).
The table top is 29 5/8" wide, 47 3/16" long, and 1 3/16" thick.
The interior of each drawer is 41" long, 13 1/2" wide and 11 1/4" deep.
The face of each drawer measures 16 5/16" wide and 12 13/16" tall.
The fir bench seat is 44 5/8" long, and 16 3/4" wide. 11/16th of the width is inset into the back of the bench, so the distance from front to back when seated is 16 3/4" less 11/16".
The exterior length of the storage area is 43 7/8". The exterior width of the storage area is 21 1/2"
The back of the nook tapers. It is 2 1/2' wide at the top (NOT including the trim piece on the top), and 6 1/2" wide where the back meets the seat (just above the drawer handle).
Let me know if the dimensions are incomplete or don't make sense.
Seattle Custom Cabinets Look closely at the bench and you will notice that the top painted horizontal element modulates as it extends underneath the table surface. This was Joanna Mattson's idea. The modulation here kept the painted part visible and prominent yet allowed the post to start farther back than it otherwise would have. This makes it slightly more comfortable to get your feet around.
joannamattson They are made by Isole. We purchased through Oregon Tile and Marble. The color is Buttercream. It looks beautiful with our creamy white cabinets (Benjamin Moore "Bavarian Cream").
