we installed beaded board on the walls and ceilings to give the space that"been there forever"feeling. We ran it horizontally to mimic the subway tiles used in the bathtub.
because of the slanted ceilings...a shower was not possible, but it's great for soaking or bathing wee-ones!

Where did you get the shower curtain rod that could go on a slanted ceiling? »
lindybros Do you have any ideas on how I can make one of these shower curtain rods - particularly the part that attaches to the wall. I'm currently remodeling my bathroom with a sloped ceiling as well and can't find anything to accomodate this issue.
Love your creative way to fit things in that space... do you have a shower in that tub, if so, how well does it work with the slanted ceiling? I did a bathroom reno in a similar type of space and opted out of a tub and shower under the slanted part of the ceiling, but now I am not happy with what I did. I just adore what you did here!

donna reyne jenkins We opted out of installing a shower for that very reason.
We have a stand alone shower in the downstairs bath so it was not needed.
Thank you so much for your kind comments
Sherri Ellis This bathroom is very calming - thank you for your photo's. I do not have another shower in my home so I've just had my renovator come in to discuss this 'slant ceiling' situation ~ He thinks he may be able to garner 3 - 4 " when he removes this ceiling to tile on the slant ceiling and we may move the tub out 4 - 6 inches ~ my current shower head is fine for me 5'5" although you can't lift your arm up at the slat ceiing - but it gets the job done. Since I have to replace the relic tub (old green with permanent scarring) and the wallboard it's time to be somewhat creative. By moving the tub out - the center point of the shower head moves as well. I will post photos of before and after when we get underway. I've an old cottage style home (enclosed from porch) so in keeping with the charm and my tastes, am looking to do beadboard on the lower half of the bathroom ... and keeping it fresh and white. I may have room for a small sideboard for the sink or may opt for a simple pedestal sink (I've storage elsewhere in the bathroom), white tile of somesort, new tub....am quite excited and many of the photos here broaden my thoughts so thanks so much!
Tubs make great use of areas with lower ceilings. I love the built-in shelf/seat at the end of this tub.
Have you noticed? Rooms with slanted ceilings are almost always high on charm.
Do you have challenging ceilings of your own? I'd love to see how you are making the best of them!
tub under slanted roof - no shower, but seat bench is handy. Could bump in another two feet to make enough room to stand, and built a deep ledge behind tub.
