This outdoor dining room features overscaled furnishings. A combination of cast stone, plantation-grown teak and hand silk-screened textiles contribute to the eclectic environment. Note the outdoor kitchen which is in the rear of the space. (1997-2001)

Michael Merrill Design Studio, Inc Thank you. This was featured a number of years ago in Sunset Magazine. I have no other photographs. he rafters look good, in my opinion extending beyond the fasia board, although that is not always possible.

Michael Merrill Design Studio, Inc There are no pictures taken from the inside. The breakfast room which this space is adjacent to is moderate in scale.

There is an almost proper feeling to this outdoor eating area, with the foliage hanging from the pergola and a beautifully set table. The cooking area takes a back seat, and I can well imagine a gathering of beautifully dressed women sitting down and being served a wonderful meal in the afternoon or evening.
