Whats the right width of the standard peninsula? - How far apart is from one side to the other? Let say from the sink to the stove.
Whats the right width?
How far should it be? »
Typically people think of a galley kitchen as two parallel lines of base and wall cabinets, but I see the kitchen with an island and parallel wall as a modern interpretation of the classic galley kitchen. This kitchen has the main sink in the island and the range and refrigerator on the main wall, making for a really tight work triangle.

Make channel kitchen/ opposed to island, could have stools on lake end. One way in and one way out...
Would allow more spacing for cupboards, stove and cooktop with refrig on far wall
