Studio C Interior Design Adding on to what Annie Kendall said. Measure the space you have available for the washer and dryer. Take those measurements with you when you shop. All manufacturers have specifications for appliances that include their measurements.

Diana Tip - adding to what the above says - visit the manufac website - email re space required for health/saftey/fire hazard/condensation... etc and u have the answer right from the horses mouth so to speak - I did this with a spray
kit i bought and they gave me all the technical info i needed, and they didn't
mind at all; after all, it's their product you've purchased.

Ideabook: Laundry Rooms That Put the Fun in Functional

Your best bet is to go with built ins. Stacking a front load washer and dryer, you can build them into a pantry style cabinet. For the front, you can match the cabinet with your existing kitchen cabinets for a seamless flow, an easy to open curtain, a folding door, or even no cabinet front. I personally think that some washers and dryers are attractive enough to be left open. But I guess, you don’t want everyone to see you airing your dirty laundry in public.

Here are a few other examples of clever and resourceful laundry nooks.
