sacapuntaslapioz looks like reclaimed wood. you can achieve a similar effect by buying new wood, hitting it with chains, dropping tools, etc. mix the species too. then use a product called lifetime wood treatment http://www.valhalco.com/index.php which creates the silver/aged patina

Artistic Stairs Inc. I am trying to figure that out too and I think I may have the solution. ACS in Calgary told me it is a metal mesh. See picture.

Plantation Hardwood Floors We fabricated to the architect's specifications the handscraped walnut stair treads and risers to match the flooring. The stair spec included a unusual 90 degree edge between riser and tread, with no bullnosing.

Plantation Hardwood Floors Plantation Hardwood Floors manufactured the floors in Oxnard, CA. They are rustic walnut, handscraped, custom stained for the project, and finished with a satin polyurethane hand-applied finish.
