waltherreed I eventually found a couple different links for the book, "House Colors," by Susan Hershman last night. The colors used are Grant Beige, #HC-83 and River Gorge Gray, # 1537, both by Benjamin Moore. I couldn't find the color white they used for the trim, however. May have to end up purchasing the book.
Also, if you google Benjamin Moore Grant Beige, quite a few images come up for you to look at so you can see how the color looks in other settings, including interior rooms.
How to get a very shiny lacquered look on the front door? - The painter just finished painting my front door after 3 days of stripping & sanding...but, it's not shiny enough...

1. Black Door With Light, Warm ExteriorThis is a terrific example of how to incorporate a black door on a more traditional-style home. The siding, trim and garage door are painted in soft, light, warmish hues that contrast nicely with the bold splash of black on the front door. The stunning architecture is allowed to take center stage. (You don't need vibrant colors to get attention here.) This is an elegant palette for an elegant home.
