Patricia Urquiola was born in Oviedo (Spain), she is currently living and working in Milan. She studied at the faculty of Architecture at the Madrid Politecnico and at Politecnico di Milano, where she graduated in 1989, having Achille Castiglioni as a mentor. from 1990 to 1996, assistant professor to Achille Castiglioni and Eugenio Bettinelli at the Politecnico di Milano and ENSCI in Paris. from 1990 to 1996 she has been following De Padova product development department, where she signers together with Vico Magistretti. "Flower", "Loom Sofa" and "Chaise Longue". from 1996 to 2000, she coordinates the design group at Lissoni and Associates. In 2001 she opens her studio following product design, displays and architecture. She participates as lecturer at Domus Academy courses "Designing Exhibition", "Shop vision" and holds the seminar "Home Design 2003". 2000 Design Index.
