not sure why the opening was placed in the middle of the kitchen floor. seems dangerous and not logistically necessary.
it's a cool idea though and it looks like fun for kitty cats :) »
LaLa Morina Well I'm sure anyone with a wine cellar that has children will have enough sense to lock the wine cellar door, and I'm sure necessary safety precautions have been taken to ensure that there isn't an accident slip through the glass frame. But I agree with the poster above, I would place a sturdy wooden door over the glass because the glass part does seem questionable, but the location is perfect, especially for those who love to cook with wine.
Forget everything you know and have seen about wine cellars. Welcome to the future. Check this baby out...absolutely amazing! It appears the door is mounted right into the kitchen floor so when you need a bottle of wine, just open the door and step right in. The bottles are lined up all along the walls. Wow!
this would be good for a pantry as well. like bottles of nice olive oil or aged balsamic, basically any special or expensive food. Depending on depth, other kitchen specialties such as Cook books.

“hidden wine cellar. would be great below an island in the kitchen”
“hidden under clear panel-”
“hidden under clear panel”
“Wine room through kitchen?!”
“Wine Room...Hidden entrance...Mikhaila's room...Hidden wine room...wine room basement...wine room stairs.”
This is a neat idea. You could have a wine cellar in the basement, with a cutout on the main floor leading down to the wine cellar. This would make quit a conversational piece.
