chaparral I'm not actually doing it myself, but trying to give some guidance to the cabinet finisher. What sort of tint would you add? A bit of white? Or gray?
Blue Bridge Cabinetry and Design I'd get them to do some samples. It's a bit about personal preference, and each cut of wood will be a little different. I like a bit of Burnt Umber as a tint. But definitely approve a sample before getting them to spray everything. If you're paying decent money for custom cabinets, it's a pretty routine thing to have done (We do that for all our clients). :-)
You've heard (and perhaps tired) of accent walls, right? How about accent interiors instead? The deep red back of an open maple or birch cabinet can really warm up their cool blonde tones. It also serves as a surprising color punch in an otherwise neutral space.
