debrot Thanks. I installed Direct Wire Maxlite LED bars with electronic dimmers. I used the electronic dimmers (very expensive) to eliminate the buzzing or flickering. Although there is no flickering there is distinctive buzzing at about the mid range dim. Annoying. I could change to the Kichler bars which I think will dim without buzzing but they are more expensive. If I won't really use the dim feature anyway, I'm thinking of changing out the dimmer for a regular switch and saving some money. IThoughts anyone?
Inspired LED Honestly, I don't think you need a dimmer. I have our flexible LED products installed in my personal work office space with our 4 position dimmer. It isn't hard wired; it just plugs into a standard outlet (which also can be plugged into a switched outlet like you described). I've always been a fan of dimmers and a lot of our customers love them as well. With that in mind... I NEVER use my dimmer in my office. Each morning I come in and use the 100% brightness setting. If you are like most people, you will rarely need a lower light in either a business or home office setting.
If you are interested, we have LED panels and strips, switches, dimmers, and more. There's no buzzing whatsoever, flexible strips are made-to-order, and they are affordable.
And what is the desk top made of?
