This was a similar aesthetic to my friend's house, with white floors. The ceiling beams, uniquely shaped furniture, and unusual collection (kept classy and organized in the shelving) make this unusual room a great success.

Painting wood floors with crisp white paint is also a popular choice. Here the result is just great. The wide white planks add to the fresh modern appeal and create a wonderful sense of movement against the ceiling beams running in an opposing direction.

The modern simplicity mixed with homey touches. The white allows the details to truly stand out as decorative pieces instead of just clutter.
