Design Visions of Austin I believe that is an alder wood with just a dark stain. Not sure exactly the stain used. You may want to get with the builder. Zbranek and Holt Custom Homes.

Amy Burke @ Florida Custom Marble Good guess would be 15'x18' at least that is what I get between the fixed items such as tiles and appliances. Hope that helps you :)

Renaissance Kitchen and Home I think the subway tiles are a great way to continue the pattern of tile on the hood and the floor. The subtle color of the backsplash doesn't compete with the decorative hood or the dark wood cabinetry. I also think the focal point of the mosaic over the stove allows your eyes to balance the height of the ceiling give this room great proportion.

Love the contrast of the granite with the dark wood. Love the hood over the cooktop. Don't like that they changed the colour of wood for the center island. Love the floor and counter/island top.
