I wanted wainscoting that wold fit in this 1850 house.
The wall color is Behr's "Pure Earth".

Shirley Corwin My chair rail is about 42 1/2 inches from floor to top of rail.

Shirley Corwin I've used Krylon fusion for everything; wood, plastic and metal. It sticks to everything!! My black windsor dining room chairs are painted with it. (See other DR pics.)
The color of the walls is Behr, Pure Earth. I LOVE it!

betty819 Did you prime the baseboard heat registers first? Spray or handpaint with brush or roller? I'd like to try a small one by myself but it would be my luck not to be able to figure out how to get it put back together like it's supposed to be and my husband would panic and gripe about hiring somebody but he physically can't do any getting down and up anymore. We used to do all our handyman chores but age and lack of physical mobility has taken over.
