When a guest room doesn't exist and private space is limited, consider the value of adding a curtain around a sleeping area. Easy to take on and off of casters, such a curtain will add an instant visual barrier.

seriously thinking of putting up a curtain in my dorm in Hong Kong next year. Privacy will be at a premium and this looks like an inexpensive way to at least pretend I have my own space. The white looks so clean.

Curtains could hide the built-in beds by day and provide privacy at night. Curtains would also hide boxes etc., if we ever had to use one of the beds for temporary storage.
