This replica of a Mid Century rest stop was part of the new deal and is an unaccredited design of the Work Progress Administration. (WPA) I loved it from the first time I saw it on Highway 80 west heading into the Bay Area. I have found others that were also built in the forties in other states like Arizona and at the Bonneville Salt Flats Utah. The one on California’s Hy. 80 as been torn down witch is a shame but they never where embraced by the masses. I call this peanut feeder, WPA and it’s made from California redwood and measures 14” wide by 12’ High and 11” deep. Does not include the 3 prong mounting pole but we can talk about a custom made one for your garden.
