Anne DeCocco Ideally, a bench should have 36' of walking space on each side. Not a perfect world? You can fudge on some of the space, but it sounds like you'll 1.5 feet on either side of yours, which is cramped AND may not be enough to fully open doors or drawers. How about a round ottoman on wheels in the middle? Big enough to sit on, but that's it. This is an amazing closet. Great use of mirrors and lights, too.

What a proper dressing room this is. I can just imagine the owner of this space and the beautifully tailored collection of clothing that must hang behind the gorgeous cabinetry. The mirrored door fronts are very functional while the glass knobs add feminine sparkle to the design. The all white room, with ample lighting, makes this a perfect place to select what to wear. Having room for a bench, providing a place to sit and lay out items of clothing and accessories, is both functional and a luxury.
