Where can I find plans to make a built- in bed like this one? - My husband and I are remodeling my attic into a Master Bedroom suite and this would be a perfect solution and look for our space. With detailed instructions I believe I could make this myself. I am also using the all-white theme. »
Sullivan Building & Design Group These beds were custom designed for the space which they occupy. All the details would change relative to the room you would build them in. You must first decide the mattress sizes and then work out the details from there.
cjktsd Love this concept. I have a large room with 2 sets of bunk beds in our beach house. What are the approx dimensions of this room? Do you have more photos that would show where the door is and closet?
Another interesting approach to using books as a design element: turning paperbacks so that their pages face outward. To me, this feels like a novel (sorry) take on the classic designer's trick of covering books in white paper for a uniform look.
Sullivan Building & Design Group made the most of this space with an interior renovation that made a bedroom with built-in beds and book nooks. An all-white palette keeps things from looking cluttered.
Carving out a soothing space like the one shown here, with its white linens, simple lighting and book collection, will not only provide guests with comfort, but the bed placement will give them a bit of privacy — even if bunking with others is required.
3. Use every inch. A built-in bookshelf inside a built-in bed adds dimension. The twin bed tucked behind the queen is a great way to capture every last bit of space. Even though there is only a small dividing wall between the two beds, the staggered heights give each side their own personality and privacy.
