Tervola Designs Depending on the hardware used for the pocket doors, you would need an extra 9"-12". We used 24" wide Bosch washer and dryers here, so the total space was 58".

Tervola Designs This Bosch washer and dryer is only 24" wide. If you have a 27" wide washer and dryer, you may need to use two sets of pocket doors. That way the doors can be smaller and it's easier to find pocket door hardware to work. The overall space will need to be larger for two sets of hardware.

Tervola Designs Cabinet companies don't make cabinets specifically for washer and dryers. These pocket doors were designed by me and ordered through my cabinet company. You should go to a kitchen designer to make sure the design works with the specs of your washer and dryer. You need to be aware of width, height and depth when designing. A good kitchen designer will be able to incorporate a washer and dryer into your kitchen design. We have to do it occasionally here in Hawaii due to the small condo kitchens.
