Floors - LOVE, LOVE the floor! Can you please tell me what it is and what color? I have a concrete floor in basement and am wondering if I can paint it? Thank you!! »
amberrongey I would estimate about 6-7 feet. My kitchen island is 8 feet and I can fit 4 chairs across. This just has 3, though it seems to have a little extra space on the left side.
dimensions of pool area - what are the dimensions of the area (i guess from pole to wall and length). Wondering how much area I need to accommodate an 8 ft pool table and some chairs like this »
Dream House Studios The total room dimensions are 13'-6" x 19'-0". The pool table is a standard 4'x8' and the rule of thumb is to make sure that you have 4' on all sides of the pool table available for clearance.
ocpooltableking The pool table shown here looks like one our models, called the Lorient. It's true that a four by eight foot pool table is considered "standard". However most folks are unaware of two important facts. 1. Most slate pool tables are available in smaller sizes, such as seven foot and even six foot. 2. Standard size cue sticks are normally 57-58 inches in length, but most people are unaware that shorter cues are available for sale.
Dream House Studios It is definitely best to put the trim first because your flooring will most likely change over time and the trim will stay on the walls.
millerdgm Did you stagger the 1"x8" planks when running them horizontally on the lower wall? Do they meet at the same point creating a vertical line all the way up the lower wall? I can't tell by the picture. Looks great!

Color to use on ceilings as well as walls in basement - We just finished our basement. The ceiling height is 71/2'. The bedroom is 13'x13'. We have a bathroom as well as a small family room. I would like to paint the walls balanced beige by Sherwin Williams. I was wondering if I could paint the ceilings the same color? Thank-you! »
10. Billiards basement. Layer your basement with wainscoting, crown moldings and carpeting, and top it off with a professional pool table. Your dynamic game room awaits — with or without a wet bar.
1. Gray and white in Virginia. Crown molding contrasts with soft gray walls to visually open up this elegant basement. This refreshing space proves that basements don't have to be dark and dingy — a coat of paint can make all the difference.
