Need help - Would you please tell me what type of wood was used for the bottom portion of the lockers(the cubbies) and was it framed out or was the wood itself used as supports? »
I am also curious about the size of this room... Thanks! - We have a 6' X 8' mudroom that is empty, and would love to try and duplicate your fantastic plan. Wondering if I have enough space. Thanks for your help! »
Stonebreaker Builders & Remodelers Sherwin Williams Nantucket Dune is what we used for the built ins and trim. The walls are maison blanche by Sherwin Williams.
Can you tell me the dimension of the lumber you used to frame the beadboard on the non-locker wall? Are the hooks hung on 1 x 6 poplar and the rest trimmed in 1 x 4s? »
Stonebreaker Builders & Remodelers Hello the Beadboard to the right of the custom cabinets are about 5' and then there is a 6" pine piece above it with the hooks and yes 1x4 on the rest.
Stonebreaker Builders & Remodelers Hi,
Actually I got this one from Pottery Barn a couple of years ago. But, I agree, it looks very much like the Ballard Design pendant.
fit4lifelu I'd like to see how then end by the door is finished? I had to redesign my locker/drop zone now that house is framed. I am going to do somethign similar to this, wondering if you left the bench on the flat wall side just with a small end panel?
Entryways are typically polished and presentable, but keeping a mudroom similarly pristine takes work. We got ideas for keeping things organized from these tidy spaces.
The traditional mud room has a country feel in its simplicity: low cubbies for shoes, open lockers with hooks for coats, additional hooks for bags, and a bench to sit. Don't forget resilient flooring to mop dirt away. Here, flirty lighting balances out the otherwise austere space. And it all works.
