ACM Design The landscape designer did the installation for this firepit. She used a concrete section of culvert pipe to create the circular form. This pipe was set on a concrete footing below the frostline. The outside of the pipe is faced with stone veneer. The inside of the pipe is faced with fire brick. The footing is wide enough to accommodate the pipe and the veneer materials. The firepit also has a drain with a grate cover to take care of any water that might collect during rain. The bottom of the firepit is covered with small river rock both for aesthetics and to help keep the drain from getting clogged. Best of luck on your project!
