Cooke Furniture Tricky thing is what are you going to do with the propane tank if LP? You have to have the hose running along the ground to a nearby tank...

COASTROAD Hearth & Patio Good point, David. These are really designed more for professional installation to a permanent gas line, but we've done the thing with the 12' hose, too. As you know, it is difficult or impossible to get a 20# cylinder under a table that low, and 5# cylinders tend to ice up on high BTU burners.

In a place where it is impossible to run a gas line to the location, I think we both agree that a firepit with an integrated LP tank would work better:
