Patty Bridges This fireplace is very similar to ours. We have a peaked ceiling also (about 12 feet) Brick ends at about 2.5 feet below peak, width is 92 inches. brick was painted white and has been repainted now in a burnt sienna, terracotta type color. ( matched it to some fabric used in the room ) so no actual name for the color. I want the mantel to be proportioned correctly. We also have the raised hearth as this one does. What would be appropriate dimensions? Thickness and depth.We like simple with clean lines as well. My daughter and I are going to DIY this project so your expertise and suggestions would be well appreciated. Thanks.
